An India passport photo must be 35 × 45 mm (1.375 × 1.77 in) — 413 × 531 px at 300 DPI — with a head height of 25–35 mm (1–1.375 in) from chin to crown, on a white background, taken within the last 6 months.
An India e-Visa photo must be 51 × 51 mm (2 × 2 in) — 602 × 602 px at 300 DPI — with a head height of 25–35 mm (1–1.375 in) from chin to crown, on a white background, taken within the last 6 months. For online applications the digital photo must be 350–1000 × 350–1000 px, maximum 1 MB.
