Passport Photo World generates passport, visa and ID photos for the world's 10 most populous countries. We maintain 16 photo specifications, 0 of which have been verified against the issuing authority's published rules.

How specifications are sourced

Each specification links to the official government source it was compiled from. Every specification is reviewed against that source before it is marked verified, and the verification date is shown on its page. The full dataset is published as open JSON at /api/v1/specs.

How photos are processed

Face landmarks locate the chin, eyes and top of the head; the photo is scaled so the head height falls in the middle of the allowed range, the background is replaced with the required color, and automated checks flag common rejection reasons such as closed eyes, head tilt, uneven lighting and cropped shoulders.

Privacy

Uploaded originals are deleted within 24 hours. Paid results are kept for 30 days for re-download, then deleted.
